I can tell this is going to be a fun one. I love second chance romances and Oliveras is a favorite #ownvoices author. As with the other books in this series, she does a beautiful job portraying the complicated stew of support and suffocation that is the Cuban familia and comunidad. In fact, you can see how that tension is present a bit already in Anamaria's comments to Alejandro. I wonder if she will recognize that tendency as the story progresses. I also love how Oliveras weaves the Spanish and English together in a way that translates without slowing down the dialogue or narrative. Looking forward to reading the rest of it!
