Juicy Marital Drama
From the quick chapter given for the first look, I'm ready to dive in to this story of a politician who admits an affair to his doting wife, who may love him more than he deserves but may also have some juicy dirt on him. I immediately disliked James, the husband, and am not sure of the Sophie, the wife. I feel the author is going to use her as an unreliable narrator which is becoming a bit of a tired trope but is still one that I eat up.
In the current political climate this would be a topical choice to recommend to reader's who devour the latest "Gone Girl" type books. I'm also intrigued to learn about the other female character, apparently a lawyer who will seek to prosecute James for whatever it is that he did.
Definitely added to my TBR pile!
