The beginning of this has me hooked! I'm not sure what story is about to break (surely it's more than just an affair), but the idea of a scorned woman coming to her husband's defense is fascinating. What did he do, and how much does she really know? What is she willing to do to protect the reputation of her family, of her children? How strong is a marriage and how far will a person go to protect it? Alternately, how well do we really know our spouses? Do they lie to us, or do we deceive ourselves? It's an age-old story but it's always an emotionally gripping one and I think this one is going to be very juicy. I think this book will be nearly impossible to put down and I wish the opening blurb had been longer.
