Well just WOW! This book was not what I was expecting at all and I loved every twist and turn and unexpected moment so very much. And the fact that it was set in Britain made it that much more delightful for me. I loved every word, even the ones I didn’t understand and had to google.
This was such an in the moment subject, very appropriate to what is going on in our world today. The subject matter was difficult and sometimes painful to read about but the way it was handled and the outcome all felt very satisfying.
I was so impressed at the way the author made the characters come alive and how memorable they have become. This isn’t a book you read and soon forget. It has stayed in my mind and I have no doubt years from now I will be able to tell you all about it. That happens so rarely and for me is the mark of a very well written story.
