The description gives us two different women, each on very different sides of a building scandal, but in this First Impression, we only see Sophie and her pain as her world explodes. A politician's wife, whose happy marriage and orderly world suddenly spin off the road with her husband's confession of an affair. Worse, an affair that is soon to be public knowledge. Sophie's shock, pain, and confusion rang true and these brief scenes were solidly written. I'd be more intrigued had we gotten a brief look at the other side of this story as is teased in the description, but this alone is also pretty interesting.
