The beginning is like so many others, in the midst of the awareness that of all the good and loving and wonder, there is something most profoundly wrong. It is the calm before the storm, that moment that will be remembered as the bellwether of crisis.
At first it seems like the standard, 'it never meant anything' affair, but the implications are much more dire. We don't get much more than a teaser after the first bomb is dropped but there is enough menace to imply far worse to come.
So what happened? Did he kill her? Did she disappear, set him up? Is there a more sinister undercurrent?
Now I really do want to know what happened, is he innocent or complicit and based on his past, can anything he says or does be trusted? I want to know!
