This was a short sample compared to some of the other book samples offered on this site, but it definitely grabbed my attention. After reading the synopsis, I am really interested in how the storyline progresses and how certain past events relate or effect what is the present storyline of the book. Based on the first chapter, I enjoy the author’s writing style and the tension that she was able to create so quickly.
