There's nothing particularly wrong with the book An Improbable Pairing. It is listed as a romance, and that's definitely what it is. I just thought it was a little bit too one dimensional for me. I was all the time expecting for something else to happen, but not, it was only the romance and nothing else. The story is not bad, I just wish that something else would have happened. On the other hand, if you are looking for a romance book in which everything works out in the end, like a fairy tale, this might be exactly what you are looking for. In this case, we have an American student that meets a countess in a ship, and the rest of the book basically describes this reverse fairy tale in which the humble boy meets a rich princess.
