This was the first book I've won through bookish. I was excited to get the book after reading the preview. The book began with a lot of promise, but while a nice story, it never fully developed. The scenes and dialogue are quite repetitive. The characters seemed one dimensional and a reader never gets a full sense of who they are or their motives. Everything seems to flow as expected and the antagonist ex-husband, while working in the background against the couple, the reasoning for his actions falls flat and unbelievable given the extent of actions he takes. A reader is also left with questions which, unless a sequel is planned, should have been answered. Overall, I just wished for more, but it never came.
