A Light Read

I had high hopes for this one...the initial idea sounded intriguing...the characters, the locale and the wealth. The author gave very precise descriptions of the clothing, the food and the locale...all just skimming the surface. The characters never had the depth that would have made this novel shine....it reminded me of the Barbara Cartland novels I used to read as a teenager.
A book for someone who just wants to read something light...with vivid descriptions of clothing, exotic locations, parties, cars, food and the banal conversation between the characters...and nothing wrong with that. I just feel that the characters deserved more depth and intelligence than they were given.
