Not exactly my cup of tea.
Admittedly, Scott's first impression of his eventual love interest feels just this side of "love at first sight". That and his inner thoughts about how to actively give attention to a woman after first being (however slightly) involved with another, doesn't necessarily make him a protagonist I would be interested in following.
On the positive side, the writing style flows well, you feel carried along with the story. And there is definitely a sense of place. The cover also matches the theme/tone of the story well.
