Wow! What a cast of characters in this book, and pretty well developed ones at that. A female assassin, a female mortician/seller of body parts/harvester of organs/murderer. Love a book with such strong female protagonists, though these ones weren’t too likeable! It took a little while to connect all the different threads, and oh my gosh, there were some surprises along the way.
Mr. Kaine did an excellent job of conveying the strengthening bond between Corey his father, and also the grief and despair of Jim and Lillian when Corey was missing and they presumed the worst.
Altogether, this book was very well written, and the plot was original, with enough twists and turns to hold the reader’s interest. 4.5 stars!
