At first glance, this excerpt reminds me of the old ABC TV show Desperate Housewives. To be honest, I'm not quite sure what to think of it yet--compared to others, this "First Look" was far too short. (It was only two three-page chapters.) I'd need to read a longer excerpt to have an informed opinion about this novel.
