While I know and respect that everyone is different and has their own unique taste, I have to say that this book was not for me. The combination of a legal thriller and supernatural thriller does sound good, but this one just didn't work. I couldn't find anything to hook me into the storyline, it was confusing at best and boring at worst.
What I gathered was that Samson Young is an attorney that is good at his job. So good in fact that he even represents a race of fallen angels that are centuries old and walk the earth. I have no idea how he is connected to these people, why they come to him, or if he's part demon himself.
I understand that this book was a sequel, so maybe this is why I was so lost? I do plan to find the first book, read it, and then maybe give this book another chance, but honestly, I'm not sure it will make a difference, as I was slightly offended at some of the language regarding women in the book as well. I do thank the publisher and the author for the copy and opportunity.
