Quite a few characters have been introduced in this one in a short amount of time. It’s a little confusing. Tawanna/Amelia , I’m guessing, will be a central character along with Sam and perhaps Nguyen. The rape trial seems to be a minor event in relation to other things happening, such as what happened to Sam’s mother and aunt. For me, too many events seem to be introduced all at once. I’m sure many will want to read on to see what happens. I’m not as fond of detective stories.
