Yes, the cover is awful. But the writing isn't all that much better, so I guess they work well together for whoever the audience of the book is (which isn't me). I had an issue almost right from the start with Sam just instinctively knowing things about women--barf. But then the actual trial where there is (in Sam's mind) a zero percent chance that the woman who said she was raped is telling the truth? Hard pass.
