The first version of the First Impression that I read had a complete list of characters in this book and it was super long. But in these two chapters alone, I already got confused with all the people's names, occupations, relationships, and purpose so I feel like I would only get even more confused if I keep reading the story. I also think that Sam's multitasking between cases along with the references to the first book is making me confused because I don't get enough context or background to understand what is going on. The first case with Hightower was interesting but I got lost after that.
