I do like this genre, but the sample was boring. I struggled to get through it, which tells me this book is not for me. Also, there are way too many characters! That was evident in the sample, so it tells me it'd be hard to follow in the entire book. I wasn't a fan of the cover, either. It's definitely one I'd walk on by in a bookstore.
