I REALLY wanted to like this book. So much so that I figured I could start reading the first book right after and hopefully get a copy of the second to follow up. The name was intriguing, the cover looks kind of dark/creepy but in a good way, and the premise just sounded AMAZING. However, something about the writing really rubbed me the wrong way. I just wasn't into it no matter how much I wanted to be. Sadly, this is a book I'll pass on.
