I won't give away any secrets or spoilers because it was so great and I could not put it down. The amount of research and detail the author put into this story is incredible. It is so easy to feel like a part of this story and like you're in the middle of the whole case. The author is a fantastic storyteller. Sometimes, true crime can be dry, even if it is an interesting case, but this is so full of life and perspective. There are so many elements in this story that makes the reader guess, stay intrigued, and feel all kinds of emotions. The tribute to her mother, Ann Rule, is such a great addition because it shows how Leslie Rule became interested in true crime and how it was part of her life for so long. I hope she writes more books like this.
