They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and Leslie Rule proves this. Leslie's new book, "A Tangled Web" picks up where Ann Rule left us in the true crime genre. While Leslie inherited her mom's talent for writing, she still has her own style.
This true crime story is about a lover's triangle that takes place at the same time the internet starts to become common place to the world. Some of us embraced the power of the world wide web and some became victims. This story is an example of how easy it was in the early days of the internet to not only stalk someone without being detected but also how simple it was to steal a person's identity and live as someone else so easily and not get caught- until we became more sophisticated in our ability to trace the evidence.

Not only is this a story about a lover's triangle but a bit of a review of history of the world wide web in the early days. While I read this book I kept thinking how naive we were then and how far we have come now in regards to internet safety as well as computer forensics.

The story is intriguing and had my attention until the perpetrator was caught.
