This was a very interesting case that I hadn’t actually heard about before I read the book. As a fan of Ann Rule, I figured her daughter would tell a good story too, and I wasn’t disappointed. This seemed thoroughly researched and I found it to be different from any other true crime book I’d ever read.
Taking place a decade or two ago when parts of the internet were kind of a new frontier, it was fascinating to see how people could get entangled & misled, even the detectives (especially them??) The obsessive stalking & harassment was mind boggling and it was hard to imagine someone having the time or inclination to wreck so many people’s lives. But it did make for some interesting reading for sure!
While repetitive & rambling at times, I enjoyed the tale of cyberstalking, murder, & crazy. I’m looking forward to reading more from Leslie Rule.
