As I read the Preface of this story, I realized that the author's mother was the extremely famous True Crime Writer Ann Rule; once I realized that, I became curious about if she had the same writing style and how the story would form. I was hooked on Leslie Rule's reason to write this story and by the introduction, I was ready to see what this True Crime novel had to offer.

I enjoyed the way the introduction was started- it does a great job of setting the tone for where the story would be going. I thought it was interesting the way she jumped from friend of victim to the man who I feel will be highly involved in this case. Within these beginning pages, you capture the literal and figural tangled web that is the title and theme and to me, that makes this book interesting to read.

All in all, these first few pages shows how engaging Leslie Rule with the audience reading, which when it comes to telling the true story of other people, is important.
