A lot of the time I do not read the synopsis of books so it surprised me that this book was true crime. Also, I am used to 19th century true crime stories so it was interesting to read about a true crime that is so current.
The cover looks like a mystery novel. I neither dislike or really like the cover.
Oddly enough I have recently gotten into looking up peoples experiences on dating apps so this I can totally see this being at back of my mind now as I view people talking about being on dating apps.
I think there are things definitely to be learned so far from reading just the excerpt:
Read warning signs - Golyar being a woman made it able for things that are off (stalker behavior) to be brushed aside
I feel he was clear about his intentions but still strung her along because he did not end the relationship. Not blaming him though since just ending things does not end stalker, obsessive, and murderous behavior.
It is so weird talking about this because these are real people I feel weird saying they should have done this and that (which is why I like 19th century true crime because there is a distance)
