Spy in the Struggle by Aya de Leon was easily one of the best books I’ve read this year that I wasn’t 100% sure I would like. It surprised me quite a bit!

😎😎😎😎😎/5 stars on this one!

Our main character Yolanda was very interesting to read about. She had a certain stigma on poor minorities even though she was one herself. Her character arc was so subtle, but so impactful it was amazing. Our main love interest came with a small plot twist that I didn’t see coming.

It was super weird to hear about covid-19 in a book. This book is very relevant and very real, so if you don’t like fiction that gives you a look into how society could possibly be, maybe skip this one. It is beautifully written and very enjoyable.

Last thing, it is not YA so there are some scenes with very described sex in them, so keep that in mind.

This book comes out December 29th! I really enjoyed it!
