I'll start by saying that I love the cover and I really liked the story a lot. It started so good, loved the characters and the themes (ex. Black Lives Matter) and the author did a really great job with the plot. It was very intriguing and it kept me reading, I finished this book in 2 days because it was very entertaining. The only issue I had with it, which lowered my rating and enjoyment of the story was the romance element in the story. But to be specific, the sex scenes because the romance was good but the sex scenes were cringey and I prefer them to be pretty vanilla or behind closed doors (mentioned but no graphic details) and this story had way too many details in the sex scenes for my liking. I guess I wasn't expecting it to have that much in the story, which was surprising.
