This story feels extra special to me for so many reasons. First, it takes place in the Bay Area (where I am from) and I get super excited everytime I see a different place get mentioned. Second, I feel like I am going to learn some new things about the Bay that I didn't already know, even though this is a work of fiction. Third, I think this book is going to touch on the current Black Lives Matter movement so it's very timely and relevant. And lastly but not the least, the protagonist is a female! I can't wait for some awesome feminism to crack the case and female power to save the day. I love all the themes that are in this book!
