The girl's hair on the cover caught my eye-I am an enthusiastic natural hair enthusiast. The second thing that caught my eye is that Yolanda Vance is an attorney-yes, you can be a degreed professional and still look ethnic. The third thing that piqued my interest is that I am from the Bay Area (I miss the Golden Gate Bridge!!!)
I like that Yolanda is struggling with who she used to be and who she is now. When some people enter the workforce they are forced to strip themselves of their past and embrace the mindset of their employer or career-even if these entities are doing corruptible things. I am looking forward to seeing how this book ends!!!
