Not My Cup of Tea
The except started out okay, but I found all of the number names to be a bit confusing. I imagine as the book progresses the reader will become more familiar with that though.
I enjoy dystopian YA fiction and I was interested up until the cruel playground scene in which the teacher observes what is happening but does nothing to stop it. Since the human is an experiment, I understand that he would want to observe what is going to happen, but it is at the human boy's expense. Maybe I empathize with book characters too much.
I did enjoy the writing style of the author. It is YA, but it isn't dumbed down like some YA books are.
I won't be buying this book, but I can see why others might enjoy it.
