While the writing style is great and the author keeps you interested in Jack's plight, I question if I already know the ending. The cover looks sort of old-fashioned compared to the futuristic content.
Reading the first couple of chapters, the tale has played out as I expected so far. I assume that the missing lab items will eventually show up to aid Jack's plight. I would like to read the remainder just to see if I am right. Maybe the ending won't play out as I expect.
