The cover art beckoned me to read this first impression. I was intrigued by the unique way that the author incorporated cloning, especially considering the fact that the two main characters were produced in two different manners. Both Jack and Althea-310 are unique, with Jack being the only human and Althea being the only imperfect being. I am interested to see how the author moves the story forward and whether the plot sticks mostly to the science fiction aspects instead of the path that many YA novels take into the romantic realm. The writing style fit the scientific, clinical setting, as the sentences and words were more straightforward. If I were to see this book in a library or at a bookstore, I would be inclined to pick it up.
