I did not like this book. I found it disturbing and ultimately sad. I will admit it made me feel...very sad for Jack, angry at the way he was treated by everyone. It made me want to smack the Carson clones for being bullies and Sam for basically abandoning Jack. I understand Sam has no frame of reference for loyalty but it still made me feel frustrated and betrayed on Jack's behalf. I want Jack to flee this compound but I don't want to read anymore to find out if he does because it is just too sad.
