This reminds me of a few different types of science fiction book, for example, "The Giver" and "Peeps". There seems to be genetic mutations and a new world.
I would highly recommend this book for those who liked "The Giver" and enjoy those 'real' sci fi books about great disasters and new versions of the world. Personally, I am not a big sci fi book and I found it really hard to read this first impression since everyone's name is the same, but has different numerical codes behind it. I don't think I could read a whole book like this.
