Loneliness as a result of an inability to really listen. Made me realize some serious truths about the modern day "30 second interaction". This book was written well with an effortless flow conveying research with anecdotes. The conversations/interviews used were thought provoking and inspiring. Not bogged down with ambiguous ideas that lacked substance but real, tangible and effective information for the average person. Easy to follow, hard to stop reading! I enjoyed the relevance this book was to my life. I came away with an excitement to interact in the active listening to the people in my life without a cell phone or computer anywhere near. I will highly and energetically recommend this book to everyone!
