Wouldn't you agree this was a good book? A simple question camouflaged as a shift response! I learned so much from this book, and it was a quite the reality check: I'm a terrible listener! Kate Murphy's work here was fascinating, and from it, I have found tips for making small, daily improvements to my listening habits moving forward.
Murphy conducted interviews with people who have built their entire careers off of listening, from a CIA Interrogation Specialist to Bartenders and even Focus Group Moderators. Improvements to our daily listening habits as a society are necessary and so many aspects of our lives can benefit from fully focused listening.
