First of all, the cover is gorgeous! I am interested in how the psychology of the book plays out. I tend to be in the background as a people watcher so this book caught my eye. I also believe that people do not listen to each other as much as they used to. People need to stop and pay attention to the world around them. Kate Murphy tries to explain why people are no longer listening to each other. Sure, the culture is changing and everyone has an electronic device at their fingertips but even so, are they really listening to what is being said on the other side of the screen? It reminds me of the phrase " if you're talking, you're not listening". I believe this book comes at a perfect time in our culture and I can't wait to read the rest of it.
