I loved this book. There is so much wisdom here. It’s not just about putting down your phone and paying more attention, it’s about being present in the conversation. Listening is more important that talking in many conversations but it’s almost a lost art.
As the mother of kids who seem to often be on their phones, wearing headphones or ear buds, I’m often met with a grunt instead of an actual response. I want them to read this and learn how to be better. Communication isn’t just about taking in the ten second snippet, it’s about responding attentively and recognizing the other party as important and worthy of their time.
