Murphy uses smart and empathetic prose to point us in the directions of weaknesses in our own communication and listening styles that may help us to grow and develop these skills.
Most of all, I was struck by how accessible but still fresh the book felt. It was never too heavy or weighed-down and never too dense to be enjoyable. This is how educational non-fiction should be: readable, enjoyable, and full of so many valuable insights.
