I was immediately interested in this book because of the simple design and the title, but more importantly, the subtitle "What You're Missing and Why It Matters". I wanted to know the answer to these questions and in this short excerpt, we get a sense of what we're missing, why it matters, and why we're missing it, especially in our age of technology.
The book is easy to read with short interesting stories by Kate (and others she has interviewed), and of technical research, which all comes together to display that Kate Murphy has done their research on the topic of listening.
While nothing striking has been said in these first 55 pages, I still want to finish the book to see what else they have to tell about listening
