Taken from a place of fear to a place of adventure and bravery, this couple battles it all together. The story begins with a diagnosis of cancer, and the fear of losing a beloved spouse, and leads us on an adventure to do something "big" together. This couple fights for each other, laughs together, loves each other through thick and thin, and shares the adventure of biking on the Great Allegheny Passage and the C&O Canal Towpath.
I thoroughly enjoyed the dry humor and relatable events of confusion and fear as the story progressed. I began feeling overwhelmed right along with them and also cheering alongside their victories.
I found myself desiring to grab my loved ones and do something "big" to celebrate life and love. But perhaps cuddling up with my cozy blanket, and favorite drink and reliving their adventure is a more doable way to travel.
