I was pleased to find this a simple, yet endearing read. I loved how the book included a map of the author’s bike journey at the start, it was a nice visual bonus! I also liked how the book was divided into several sections, which were then further divided into short, easy to manage chapters.

The author’s narrative voice is engaging and, right from the get go, this book capture’s your full attention. By the end, I felt like I really got to know the author and his wife, almost as if I had traveled alongside them on their 350 mile journey! I liked reading about the adventures they had on the trail, as well as the other individuals they encountered on their way. I also loved the author’s sense of humor and how it kept the tone of the book light.

My only gripe is the characterization of this novel as Religion / Christian Living. The religious content in this book is minimal and does not detract from the story, and some people may be hesitant to pick up the book given the genre.

Overall, I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to read this book. Definitely a 5-star read!
