Kind of disappointed, the synopsis appealed to me greatly, but the first look was not very enjoyable. The narrator's constant use of "the math teacher" to refer his wife in the first-person narration was a strange choice, reminiscent of bad fanfiction. What an impersonal way to refer to your spouse. In fact, it all felt a little impersonal. It was hard to connect with the narrator. Neither the humor nor the more serious emotions really landed.
