I am definitely not the target audience for this book, but I ended up really enjoying the excerpt! I'm not sure if it was an accident, or intentional, that the excerpt jumped from the introduction to chapter 5, but I thought that helped me get a better feel for what the book is going to be like. I thought the introduction was insightful, and I related to a lot of things the author said about medical care. I adored the bits of humor he included as well! Finally, the author and his wife's story remind me a lot of my parents, so that made me feel closer to the book as well. Overall, this is not a book I would have picked out for myself, but after reading this excerpt, I would definitely want to read more!
