This doesn't seem like a bad book, just not a book for me. The constant referring to his wife as "the math teacher" rubbed me the wrong way. I was also confused by jumping from the intro to Chapter 5 - it's a memoir so I guess it makes sense to skip all of the "here's our life stories" chapters to jump right into the point of the book. But it definitely confused me and I had to go back and double check that I hadn't missed anything.
