I like how the author is talking about hard, scary, sad topics but is still able to infuse humor. He agrees to ride a bike trail (even though he is afraid of bikes) and even before they are on the trail you feel they have been on an adventure. Which makes me eager to see what else will happen. I don’t like how he keeps calling his wife ‘the math teacher’ though. But it feels like it will be a bitter sweet story.
