This book starts off in a pretty heartbreaking manner, but soon we join Sean and Jamie at the beginning of a 185-mile bike trip. It sounds like it's going to be a pretty epic adventure full of challenges and self-discovery, but I couldn't get past how often Sean refers to Jamie - his wife - as "the math teacher." I didn't like how he reduced her to her job, even if her skills come in handy throughout their journey. It has the potential to be a good book, but the writing style is a big turn-off for me.
