Starting off strong with the cover art, You Are My Sunshine really piqued my interest. Then, I opened the book to see a beautiful map and an interesting setup for the table of contents that I really liked. This book felt like I was sitting on a porch, drinking sweet tea, and having a general conversation with someone about their life. I didn't, however, know how to feel about being thrown directly into chapter 5. I feel like the first look should be exactly how the book is set up. Other than that, I thought this story was really cute and inspiring and I love the fact that it is Christian fiction.
