After reading the synopsis of this book, I was immediately intrigued by the promise of adventure and a story of a relationship filled with love. The plot centers around a couple who is faced with bad news during the first few years of their marriage, and who are determined to go on an epic adventure together in spite of this. I really enjoyed the wholeheartedness of the novel and found the characters to be compelling. The author of the story based this book on his actual life, so I appreciate how open and candid he was about everything his wife and him had been through at the time. I also thought that the cover was very fitting to the story.
