DNF at 80 pages.
Honestly I am just really bored.
I was expecting this super high, thrilling story with a vengeful golem that just goes around killing people at the bequest of her creator…. But I got a creator that RAN AWAY and then she just morosely wanders the forest until she meets the girl’s old lover. 🤷♀️
Even the deaths that did happen didn’t affect me in any capacity. I wasn’t sad or empowered or anything. I don’t know if I just needed more in the prologue to care about the past or what? And most of what I read is just the golem thinking in her head, and the author telling us how she feels. I wanted to wait until I met Akiva but he legit just kills his comrades for the ghost of the woman he loved. Like what if she was an hallucination?? He just effed himself. And his skepticism just blows away in five seconds once she doesn’t have a pulse. 😂
