I wanted to start by saying how nice this author is. I won his previous book that he wrote that was featured here on BookishFirst. I knew my nephew would love it, so I gave it to him and it became his favorite book. I asked the author on social media if he’d be so kind as to send an autograph for my nephew and he sent an autographed book, personalized to my nephew! I can tell it’s absolutely my nephew’s prized possession now.
As far as this new book is concerned, I think the storyline is so creative. A family’s child is killed and they use an ancient form of magic to kind of revive their child. I say “kind of” because it is a new being created with their child’s memories but with the skills to fight, with the intention of taking out nazis. I’ve never heard of anything like that before. Kudos on the creativity. It’s also well written.
